Palm Springs 2018

August 31 - September 1, 2018

Stephen and I were in Palm Springs for a brief period for an event for the Marines that Stephen was involved in. We drove throughout Palm Springs in search of everything that gave off that Californian desert vibe. Stephen was stationed in the Palm Springs area, so he was already familiar with the area. Sadly, we were so close to Joshua Tree but did not have the time to go.

When are arrive to Palm Springs you will pass the sign so make sure to pull of and get a picture.

Some of the first giant cactus we saw. We then realized how hot Palm Springs is at the end of summer.

We stopped at Moorten Botanical Garden to see the different types of cactus because I LOVE them! This place was huge and full of so many species of cactus I had never seen.

Driving around aimlessley in the airconditionig car provides you with the coolest retro stops.

Don't worry; If you don't stop at Moortens, you will not miss the cactus; you will see some form around every corner.

The houses in Palm Springs are like none other anywhere you will go. Each house had a vibrantly painted door to go with the art deco landscaping and a backdrop of mountains.

Beyond the vibrantly colored houses and perfect landscaping, we found this decimated shack in the desert just waiting for its picture to be taken.

We couldn't leave without stopping at one of the most famous hotels in the area, The Saguaro. Everything about this hotel was BRIGHT.

We found ourselves in Andreas Canyon, where the palm trees do not look like palm trees, and the sand feels like it belongs on a beach.

Palm Springs is filled with art

One day we will make it back to Palm Springs so we can explore more.
