NYC 2018

December 14-16, 2018

Stephen and I love New York City, and when we lived in Pittsburgh, it was only a 7-hour drive, so we would go for a three-day weekend. This was the first time we had been to NYC for the Christmas Markets together. Christmas is so magical in New York City with the lights and extra-large Christmas decorations. But the markets and ice skating rinks might be my favorite part. There is no doubt that NYC will put you in the holiday mood.

When we go to New York City, we always try to stay in a MOXY by Marriott. MOXY hotels always have the most quirky charm, and they are all different. The MOXY in Times Square was one of the most unique with its rooftop decorations.

When in NYC for the holidays, I feel like it's a must to see the famous Rockettes. They really put on a show and boosted the holiday feels.

Don't forget Texas size pizza in New York City; it can be found on most corners.

As always, I have to find the best place to eat and breakfast is no exception.

There are many marketplaces in New York City, and the most common one to visit is Chelsea Market. This place has it all.

If you need to get some air but do not want to deal with the hustle and bustle on the streets, head for the Highline Trail. It is above the streets and has so many cool things to see; there is always something new.

One of our favorites, Luke’s Lobster.

There are a few places you can go high above the city for a spectacular view. We choose The Rock.

Did you even go to NYC if you don’t have a picture with one of their bagels?

Checked out the 9/11 Memorial Museum. What a fantastic and well-done museum. Highly recommend going.

And lastly, the whole reason we went, to check out the Christmas Market! It was raining when we went, so the place was empty, and we had it primarily to ourselves with no lines. The market has so many food options that I would skip dinner and munch here.

We will be back New York City
